RANCHO MIRAGE, CA – April 22, 2025 – The Rancho Mirage Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to herald the arrival of the Desert Rodeo, a brand-new ProRodeo event set to electrify the Coachella Valley. Taking place during the highly anticipated country music weekend, from Friday, April 25th to Sunday, April 27th, this three-day fusion of professional rodeo, retail experiences, and festival vibes will be hosted at the prestigious Desert International Horse Park in Thermal, California.
 
This innovative event promises a unique daytime experience, seamlessly blending the high-energy atmosphere of a festival and the charm of outdoor shopping with the thrilling grit and cherished traditions of a Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA)-sanctioned competition. Attendees can look forward to witnessing skilled cowboys and cowgirls compete in exhilarating events such as bull riding and barrel racing, expertly produced by Reno Rosser and Flying U Rodeo.
 
Beyond the rodeo action, the Desert Rodeo will offer a vibrant marketplace where attendees can shop for official merchandise, including iconic hat brands like Stetson, Resistol, and Charlie 1 Horse, with personalized customization available at The Hat Bar by Kate Kaney. The Outlaw Oasis will provide a perfect spot to savor a country cookout complete with bars and delicious BBQ fare.
 
The Desert Rodeo is also deeply committed to community engagement, incorporating fundraising initiatives to directly support local families in the Greater Palm Springs area during times of need. Furthermore, through collaborations with Montana Silversmiths, Resistol, and YETI, the event aims to empower children by fostering courage through the spirit of cowboy camaraderie.
